Retreats for the soul
This retreat offers more than relaxation—it provides a journey back to the essentials of life.
Here, you’ll learn skills that reconnect you with community, foster resilience, mindfulness, and self-discovery. Through guided wilderness excursions and workshops including traditional Highland skills, foraging, and fermentation, you’ll find renewed strength and clarity, with a community of like minded people. Step away from the noise, immerse yourself in nature, and uncover the mental clarity that comes from surviving and thriving in the wild. This is more than a getaway—it’s an invitation to embark on a journey within, surrounded by the timeless magic of Scotland’s most soulful wilderness.
These retreats are a hugely positive experience, and our guest feedback is overwhelming - Hear from some of our guests in the video testimonials throughout the website.
What drives me?
I am passionate about this work through my own lived experience of poor mental health. I battled a skin condition for 15 years which made me feel isolated, anxious, depressed and unable to live my life and perform daily tasks. I travelled down many medical routes and was hugely disappointed with the lack of support from the medical system. I deeply desired a community to spend time with who understood what I was going through.
There is a need for this as in this climate more and more individuals are silently struggling and not everyone desires to seek professional help. People need alternatives for positive mental health and there isn’t enough holistic help out there that is inclusive as the costs of attending are not subsidised. I plan to make this change in the well-being industry.
Yaz’s Wilderness Wellbeing retreat was truly transformative for me. Before attending, I was struggling to come to terms with the car accident that had upended my life. The combination of physical activity, nature, the creative arts and deep mental health work offered at the retreat, helped me see things from a new perspective. I learned to forgive myself, accept my past, and find strength in my resilience. Yaz’s compassionate guidance and the supportive community she fosters made all the difference in my healing journey. I left the retreat with a renewed sense of purpose and hope for the future’. Ben

- Swim kit and towel for some cold water dooking - it could be useful to bring booties or crocs.
- Yoga/Pilates - Sarah and Eve bring all that you need, however if you are attached to a matt then by all means bring it. Same applies to a nice blanket and then comfy clothes for yoga.

There is no pressure to do this, you can simply just listen but it is amazing how much these sharing sessions bond the group and create a beautiful community over the weekend where no one is judged and everyone is heard.

'The WildernessFit Mental Health Retreat was a weekend like no other, firstly because it felt like it lasted so much longer! The most supportive group of specialists in movement, gut health, wilderness survival and so much more, made us all feel instantly comfortable and provided experiences that simultaneously calmed the mind and motivated the spirit. My mood changed immediately from the day-to-day stresses of work and life, to the serenity of being immersed in a natural setting, with wholesome food, fire and free-flowing conversation between fellow guests who quickly became friends. This in turn created a safe space to share the various and multi-faceted struggles all of us had faced and the journey we’d been on to turn them into new-found strengths. I can’t recommend Yaz and the whole team enough. If you’re looking to find a community in which you’ll be both supported and inspired, book yourself on a WildernessFit Retreat'
